New JHS Kit Pedal Release Monday

Jezzo how people try it on 🤣
Nothing new there.😳
if you look on Evilbay Reverb & Amazon any time of the day or night you will see chancers selling used pedals and other gear for more than it costs to buy new from online retailers .
People are buying which is mental 👎

Agree, kinda bummed.

I thought I'd order one just for shits and giggles, as soon as it's in stock at Thomann, since they do sell the Notaklon as well, and now I'll have to wait until JHS "develop" and roll out a V2.

Meh. 🤷‍♂️

I wouldn't mind a slightly slower turnaround on pcbs if he was a bit quicker with build docs though.

Robert designs his boards so you can go ahead and start building without a build doc but I like going over the schematic before I start soldering.
I asked him for the component list for this particular board. Does he post those somewhere on the forum?

He has a forum on the pedalpcb site. When he posts anything it'll be there.
Yeah, I'm a member there, although I mostly lurk as much of the content there is way over my head. Lurk and learn is my mantra for that kind of stuff. :rofl

This thing has become my new favorite boost!

The overdrive channel is nice, but the real magic is in using the clean channel to boost an amp into overdrive. Into both my ac30 and JRT it’s pure magic for pushing both into that low-mid gain boutique overdrive sound. It does that thing where it just makes everything sound better when it’s on.

My hunch is it’s probably dependent on the amp/guitar used though. It’s not transparent, it’s opinionated! I imagine it wouldn’t work well with some gear.

Dayem! I have one still in the box. Maybe I will have to build it this afternoon!

It’s worth checking out! I wish I would’ve bought a second one when I had the chance.

I’ve never had a boost that has both an input level and an output level. It’s cool because you can control how hard you’re hitting the boost circuit and then control how hard the output from the boost is hitting your amp. The circuit clips a bit and it’s nice to control how much of that to blend in
