@Elric how much moar realerer is it?

This is a friendly reminder that there is a “rant” thread for commentary outside the scope of 2.0.
But they are both titled exactly the same, shouldn't one be changed? I'm so confused :grin

Edit: I mostly hang out in the New Posts section so I see them both at the same time.

Its no secret how much I despise NDSP's business practices ... however putting that aside, this seem like very good / large update for QC owners :)

Just some questions and comments..

=> any ideas / date / comments on the plugin integration ?

=> any time-line / hints re:- desktop Editor / Web Based ?

=> I gather / presume (?) offline storage of your own presets and Captures onto your own computer is still a "never" to be implemented ?

Just a general audio comment - I just watched the official Core 2.0.0 NDSP full demo of all the new features - and something struck me ...... the Amp tones - be they internal models or capturers - particularly the crunchy / rocky / dirty / heavier tones - come across on that video as being quite "stiff" ... (?)

Is this how they are ? -or- is it how the user in this demo had them dialed in ? -or- are there "deep" controls to adjust this ?

All the best,
Ben

No hints at desktop editor, plugin integration. However, desktop editor seems to be closer to realization than plugin integration.

They made a step in what appears to multiple cloud backups but yes they still seem set on no local storage.

As for the tone, maybe best in the rant section but I thought the distorted JP2C+ was blah. However I enjoyed most of the captures and the bit crusher and thunder claw were pretty neat!

I'm kind of astounded that they didn't take this opportunity to rev the Spring Reverb. :wat

I'm kinda of astounded they're calling this update a 2.0. Lots of quality of life fixes, don't get me wrong... but no real significant updates.

I feel bad for poor DiGItaL jOhN who had to shoot a video and announce, with a straight face, that the WiFi MAC now being visible in the settings is a big deal.

Guy did not look like he wanted to be there lol

Just installed. I'm very pleased, actually. :) JP2C is a blast, global bypass is cleverly implemented. Capture menus are a big improvement, though navigating will still be challenging in large folders (e.g. Factory Captures.) All of the cloud content that hasn't been categorized is now useless, as anticipated. I'll probably nuke my QC and start from scratch, being careful not to download anything "generic".

Still don't understand why the UI for adding blocks has to be any different from the UI for replacing blocks. But the UI has been refined across the board. Nothing has changed for the worse (excepting maybe a new scrollbar in one of the menus.) Looking good.
