The caveat is when I use cabinetron and mix close and room IRs. And when I down mix them to stereo I rather run those in endgame than the usual mono stuff.
But I'm weird I also prefer the Ox Box to the Ox pedal.

Sweet - thanks for that. In any case, that third amp (LEAD) is great & the cabs are pretty darn good too - probably their best ones so far.

I'm curious if they use real amps to make these? Seems like they combine artists favorite amps.
Do they model both and then mix and match? Or just create an entirely new model that isn't of either of the amps mentioned

Damn near everything is a derivative of something else. As I said, they do seem pretty similar and there's overlap. However they are *apparently* not the same as the amps in other plugins.
At this point I feel like there's too much overlap for me to be excited about this plugin, but I also don't think it's accurate to say "it's just the same stuff from other plugins."
But I think you're mostly in here to sling shit at NDSP, no? Seems this is the default space for that. That's fine. And NDSP annoys the shit out of me in a lot of ways too, so carry on.

There's overlap everywhere whether it's digital or analog.
People will buy 5 different boost pedals or ODs from obscure brands when at times it's a repackaged TS
Same with amps. "Buy this boutique amp that's a 5150 but with a few added features"
Lastly, there is a ton of overlap in say FAS. It's the byproduct of the massive amount of amp models they have but we usually talk about how it's overkill and many try and just use a few amps in their core rotation
I don't have any issue with this plug, or any of theirs. They know how to market, their main crowd will definitely be all about Misha, and it atleast offers some fun effects. Also, it sounds like the amps aren't a repeat anyway as Misha has mentioned.

First Impressions.
Clean washed out tones could be really good. I only klutzed around with the Glitch/StereoDelay/Reverb stack and got vibing. The modulation effect is weird but in a potentially good way with the auto speed oddly swelling in. Verb seems like just a verb, but I didn’t isolate it. Some surprisingly cool lofi presets.
The lead amp wants to go hard in the paint. I think that might be cool with the mics dialed in or a 3rd party IR. The rhythm amp didn’t jump out to me but I was 1-0 ‘ing on the lead amp like a lughead.
Neural do seem to get their plugins right more often than not.
Looking forward to screwing around with it a little more.

I absolutely give them a lot of flack, but I feel most of it's earned and I explain why.
I also make it a point to shout them out for what I think they're legitimately doing right.
Going back and not just "X"-ing old plugins, but adding tons of new presets and some new features as well? Hella cool, and definitely more long-term love than, say, Line 6 put into their Metallurgy series.
Servicing out-of-warranty QCs for little-to-no charge for customers, including members of this forum? Love to see it, and they should be commended for that.
I continually say they still offer an unparalleled combo of power, technology and portability in the QC, and until the Helix Stadium Floor drops....that'll probably remain true.
Yes, it's an oversimplification to say this is "just" the same stuff from other plugins. The reverb/delay section looks to go beyond what's in Nolly or Plini. The Axe-FX derivative pitch/glitch/laser effects are absolutely new (but still just novelty to me). I'm sure they actually "blended" some different amps with the Friedman and 5150 models here.
Is that worth another $130? Nah, but people will pay for it. They know their audience and the flashy drama videos out in the wild are eye-catching marketing pieces. I don't wish ill on them, really. I wish that they'd get out of their own way and stop stepping on rakes. The competition makes everyone else better, and clearly Stadium answers back to some degree.

I was going to say, Misha said on his appearance on ToneTalk they were using Friedman stuff quite a bit and either did a whole album with or their live tone was a BE-100 in the AxeFX.
That laser effect was originally done up by a dude on the Fractal forum, he sent it off to all the newer metal guy who put it into their live rigs (Periphery and Spiritbox, namely…I still need to put it in my FM9 if I can)

Hey all! I've put together a patch with 8 scenes that use some of my favorite "out-there" effects. Heavily inspired by Greg from Car Bomb for these. The laser settings I made here were used by the Periphery guys throughout PV after I sent it to Misha, including on Wildfire, Everything is Fine...forum.fractalaudio.com
I never want to hear that again, and please get off my lawn.

Do we think NDSP could automatically have new plugins be readily available on the QC at launch but just don't want to jump the line? I can't imagine they wouldn't make them ready to go from the start
Since they have to create a bespoke firmware for each batch for whatever dumb technical reason, no....it doesn't seem like they can. They'd not only have to launch a new plugin, but then have a new QC firmware timed to release on launch day. They're clearly struggling to get these out in any sort of timely fashion, so doesn't seem like they can coordinate two major releases that way.
They're not making enough new plugins for this to be a major consideration anyway. This is the first one in a looooong while.

On desktop we have things like SSE and AVX instruction sets, or even NEON on ARM. Sharc has its own SIMD intrinsics, but these systems are totally different.
So let's say you've got some AVX math going on in a particular amp sim; all of a sudden you need to rewrite that sharc. This kind of job doesn't really scale very well, and can be very unpredictable once you hit a QA cycle too.
