I'll be curious of your thoughts when you get the rack. Input gain with plugins can be a pain

My experience when I owned the FM3, QC and Helix Floor when the QC released was that vs Fractal it was no contest. Versus Helix it was hit and miss - sometimes just as good, sometimes worse, but QC rarely coming out as better.

I really, really wanted it to succeed. I don't mean in terms of sales, but as just becoming a straight up great modeler. There's a lot to like, but for me, it just never quite got there and I'm not confident in Neural DSP's ability to execute at this point.

If NDSP had put out something closer to the Hotone A2 Stomp - less capable, but more compact maybe in the 700-800 € range, I would've likely bought it because at that price point it's easier to forgive flaws than at the 1600 € price point. The Nano Cortex is so far from what I'd want.

I think the QC effects are improved now vs launch, but personally still prefer HX breadth and sound. I did prefer the Chorus Engine on the QC over similar Stereo Chorus options on Helix, but that’s probably my only exception
 
My impression of QC effects was based on the CorOS 1.3 iteration of the device, and it wasn't a great one. Not the worst, but definitely lacking to pretty much every other competitor.

Of course, they added a decent bit of content afterwards, but sadly, the reverbs have been untouched since then, as have most of the drives and wahs. Not much in the way of new models or even updates in those categories.

Their device list on their website always makes me chuckle. They have the Diezel Herbert both listed as A) A current amp model and B) An amp that has been replaced by factory captures. Of course, the rest of the amps on that "replaced" list are ones they swore up and down before launch that they'd add eventually, then just gave up and slapped unlabeled captures on the factory image.

I'm sure TINA is gonna rectify any day now.....

Interesting. The side chain one seems to work fine for me. I just need it to cut the noise when not playing though so my needs are pretty simple.
