Power Consumption: Quad Cortex units with the new codec are more energy-efficient, reducing power consumption by up to 50%. However, the power requirements remain unchanged: 12V DC 3A (center negative), as marked on the chassis.

I don't know how you are supposed to interpret this. If the power requirements are the same, where is that power consumption benefit? Will it just stay a bit cooler in some area of the PCB?

CorOS 3.2.0 looks like a very disappointing release after all this time. Anyone who is not using the ported plugins gets...a metronome? Because that is what was missing from the QC.

I guess that's the medicine they tried to hide in all of the honey about Cory Wong X and metronomes: No significant content for non-plugin users is coming for several months, at least.

It just means "the power supply spec for the new QC is the exact same as the old one" - i.e. no new adapters required.

But yeah, i don't know why you'd mention "reduced power consumption" while trying to drive the point that this is hardware change users shouldn't even notice.
