Probably not near enough gain for a lot of you here, but I picked this one up on the cheap since it did not work right. Dropped it off at the tech's after I checked all the internal fuses. New preamp tube and proper bias and she works perfect and loud!!

Pretty good pedal platform. Sounds great for those low gain Marshall tones and approaching Plexi-like tones with MV all the way up and gain/tilt knobs to preference. Also got the MG412B for next to nothing too.

TBH, that is really why I bought it since it did not work. If my amp guy said it was too expensive to fix, I was going to do one of those Headfirst Mods, either the Hot Rodded 800 or Plexi mod.

Since it was something minor, I'll keep it like this for a while and see where I go with it.
Definitely a good a way to go. They can be quite fun stock still, but they’re a great platform to take in any direction you like
