Just blasted this today, absolutely glorious stuff. Been jamming on modellers for the last few weeks for no reason other than laziness and this was a nice reminder how much cooler real amps are.

Been on the same journey the last few months. My Helix sits largely unused these days and is as close to the chopping block as it’s ever been.

I hate tubes. I love tubes.

I wish it wasn't the case. I LOVE modelling for what it is - it's convenient, diverse, reliable, inspiring (sometimes!). It is not a replacement for real gear and I don't think it's ever got my juices going the way real amps do (when they are behaving).

Side note: I can already hear a microphonic valve that'll require some investigation

Ha it bothers me that I have 2 different ones. I like one of them but it’s been sold out ever since I bought it (or else I’d have bought a few more) and I can’t find another like it. The other is fine but I don’t like it enough to recommend….. Most of them are pretty similar, kind of 5/10 will do the job shelves.
