sadly I had to cancel my order. Got caught up in the tech layoffs fun.
It happens, fix the issue. Rebuild and move on.Shit man. Been there quite a few times.
Fuck man. Hoping you make it through ok man. I got RIF’s after 19.5 years back in 2021. Fucked my situation up bad.Much mojo to you guys. I may be in the same situation later in the year after my company announced they were divesting our division…we’ll see, but time will tell.
Sorry for the derail - back to CRAB
He sent me a picture of mine last night. Paid for and ready to rock this thing after it makes the journey halfway around the world!
Saw that on Facebook as well. I told him I wanted red, and he messaged back asking if I wanted the face plate in gold or white. Glad I told him gold!Saw a bunch of dragons getting posted up on Instagram today and figured some were going to TGFers!
Got the tracking info and it ships tomorrow. For you guys who have gotten yours, is it about 2 weeks to get to the US?
It might also depend on how true to the original the Mesa GEQ it is.I’d say the biggest complaint is that the GEQ is definitely more finicky to dial in. Seems more sensitive. I initially thought that maybe it had more than a +/- 12dB range, and perhaps it does indeed, but then it occurred to me that it’s probably more related to the fact that there’s less physical distance from top to bottom than an actual mark GEQ
The Mark series graphic EQ sucks. I know some people want authenticity but it's simply a bad design...As an owner of a Mark V I actually feel like the Fractal Mark 5 band is better. You seriously have finer
grain control of it than with the actual amp. Actual amp you cannot vary by thousands.... a little nudge
on the physical slider and you may have gone too far. Nudge it back down and you went too far the
other way. Rinse and repeat until you start too think you need another amp.
In the Fractal the ability to finetune the EQ is far more accessible and available to the user.
Good to hear and also good he builds 100w amps. I would always choose 100w over 50w in any scenario.Practice went great, it definitely sounds like a mark, ie fucking awesome. Also it’s so small and absurdly light it’s kinda wild lmao

Also one thing to add, I reccomend anyone ordering to make sure to specify to get the C++/III switch on there. Idk if he defaults to that or not. But he’s very flexible and will do basically whatever you want
One other thing I will add, if you are playing balls out metal all the time with a super loud drummer, possibly getting 100 instead of 50 watts (again 50 is the default). I actually wouldn’t have even considered tbis but coincidentally we did a random switcher oo jam where my bassist hopped on drums and drummer was doing Cookie Monster Vox. We were just doing random improv breakdown-core crap but my bass player hits the drums extremely hard, and while I wasn’t running out of headroom, I did feel like o was surpassing the point on the volume knob where it sounds good. In fairness, I probably could’ve taken the 750hz knob off of 0 too, but might be worth considering lol
All in all very impressed, certainly a no brainer given the ludicrous price. If you’re debating between a IIc+ RI or OG or a crab… well.. the crab probably isn’t for you lol. If you want a great sounding Mark amp fore dummy prices though, then I highly recommend
Still in awe of the price:tone:quality ratio lol
Not all amps have a 100w option FYI. I don't think the Dragon for example has the option.Good to hear and also good he builds 100w amps. I would always choose 100w over 50w in any scenario.
Yeah, I asked about 100 watts when I ordered my Dragon and he said he only does that in 50w.Not all amps have a 100w option FYI. I don't think the Dragon for example has the option.
Damn, was mentally building my dream dragon. Jk, I can't buy an amp right now anyway but the dragon would probably be the best route to go.Yeah, I asked about 100 watts when I ordered my Dragon and he said he only does that in 50w.
