Congrats on the amp. I'm on my 2nd one, had the 6l6, now el34. I would say the statement is essentially accurate but there are some very minor differences between the two amps in my opinion.Yessir. I watched some dudes shooting out the 6L6 vs El34 versions and they couldn’t really tell much between them, and I figured the amp wouldn’t lack anything in terms of being tight or percussive.
Has to be one of, if not the best clean channels I've ever had tbh.Bogner clean channels are underrated. Most of them are basically perfect Fender Blackface stuff.

With the el34 being a little tighter, more cutting and more in your face. The morph taper was a little different as well.
Regarding your first post about the Morph, I found fluff's review to be the most helpful but the way the morph works is how tight do you want it? Or how fat do you want it?
All the way to the left or at "zero" on tight is as tight as it can get and turning it clockwise loosens it up.
Also I would second getting that Uberkab, need one myself but haven't been able to find the right deal. Might as well buy new at the used prices people are asking these days. Was online looking for the right one and found a Mills Afterburner so I had to get that instead based on principal but still on the lookout for the Uberkab, it pairs well maybe best? And it's matching so that automatically = better tone

I keep the morph in the same spot as you. Prefer focus mode.Yeah dude it’s friggin killer. I’m having a hard time getting out of CH2 Ultra rn because it’s just such a satisfying thing to mindlessly riff out on.
I think what throws you off is that the Metamorph control almost works backwards. Left is more, right is less. I’m pretty much parking it with the switch on Tight , but around 11oclock. Just enough compression to focus everything, but not clamped and still feeling open.
Density is just NFB right?
You have any golden settings or tricks? I’m loving the fact that you almost have to go out of your way to find an unusable tone. Everything just about works in some context. It’s like a Choose Your Own Adventure amp. Haha
Yeah and tbh the Uberkab is actually priced semi sanely. I think it will be inevitable to try to pair them.
That amp was haunting me a few weeks ago, loosing sleep thinking about ways to sell my body to buy one, and I already have the Uberkab...Yeah and tbh the Uberkab is actually priced semi sanely. I think it will be inevitable to try to pair them.
