My neck.. my back... lick my recto and my craic....

Ah… this head … I look them in the second hand market sometimes … that’s nice to have a dual at home. The best looking head, everything shake in the house … the only think that stops me to have another rectifier, is the « boost » thing . I owned the single, mini recto, roadster and roadking in the past, and it was always a challenge to go to pure clean to dist + boost . And also the clean channel was always way more quieter than the dist channels . But I’m still looking at them with some nostalgia . Who knows . Maybe one day

Probably the best deal in the used market on a Big Boy Mesa head, too.

I'd heard very good things about the Multi-watt and have been considering getting one. Other than the price of a used one, is there anything you prefer about it over the Mark VII?

If you really look into this you'll find two pretty distinct Mesa camps. The Marks and The Rectos. I love the Mark voice much more than Recto. For every one of me you'll find someone who will say the exact opposite. Hopefully more will chime in on this. I'm not good at explaining tone but Marks seem much less forgiving than Rectifiers but have a much more liquid like lead tone. I play single line lead stuff 99% of the time ftr.

I have one of each. :banana

I agree that Mraks can be a little unforgiving under the fingers. They require a bit more
precision, in my experience.

One thing I love is the choice between Solid State Rectifiers and Tuber Rectification. That
Spongy setting with Tube Rectifiers can soften up the feel a bit.

For me, it is just two different flavours of great! And even cooler than that is that the Rectifiers
and Marks also have a shit ton of diverse tones within them. :chef
