Mike McCready Plugin ?

I'd love an Archetype: Grunge, with different amps and pedals from PJ, Nirvana, STP, AiC, etc. NDSP wouldn't put it all in one plug-in though. Wouldn't want to provide too much value for $150-$200.

I feel like this is Helix Native, though. Seems to be their home base.

Mayer has had a few signature amps. While they may not sound all that different than loads of other amps, that alone does kind of make an archetype for him make sense. Mike McReedy…I can’t say I know much of anything about his gear beyond his Strat and Marshalls.

Also, Mayer has a history of using digital stuff where I’m pretty sure McReedy has never plugged into a modeler but likely has a lot of faith-based reason for why they suck.

He’s all digital live or at least was for a second (I don’t keep track, but he endorsed the Tone Master stuff pretty hard).

I’d love to see Nueral do an Archetype of one of the 80’s studio cats so we could get a plug that just focuses on rack gear. Huff, Lukather etc. Load the plug up with a Fish, Kasha Rockmod, MP1, JMP, CA3+, with the 1210 Spacial Expander, 2290 delay, PCM70 etc. That would be a bit of a differentiator in their lineup.

lol the only reason I know is because some long interview video with him autoplayed (seems like a nice guy), and so I looked up what he was using. I don’t think I’ve listened to any post-90s PJ

Maybe, but I think those amps are nice, especially using them as a pedal platform type thing. It’s just the price that doesn’t make sense imo

I don't disagree! My lack of Pearl Jam enjoyment is not all McCready's fault. It's mainly the kind of the Neil Young idolatry (BARF to the nth degree) they pursued in their songwriting. I was just a metal kid and still am, even in now in my 50s. I don't want to hear ironic rock music with accordions or something I need to wear corduory pants to enjoy

That's the thing though. Great guitarists are rarely in great bands. It's all about the songwriting for me.
