Metal Day Jam Video

I was awakened at 8:30AM by a phone call from my best shredder buddy, who declared today "Metal Day" and said he would be doing a video, as he often does on his day off, and he challenged me to do the same. After having some coffee and getting a few morning duties taken care of, I headed out back, fired up Logic and did a backing track with Superior Drummer and I played a bass track and three tracks of rhythm guitar, one with each amp:
Mk IIC+ DRGX to the left
JP2C to the right
EVH 50w EL34 Red Channel in the middle

Then I put my iPhone on a tripod and recorded the lead while doing video. I'm hoping to make this kind of regular and do a lot more videos this year, including some talking and play rig rundown videos in the future.

Great collection! I have the same color Jem and a black one with the mirror pick guard. Is that black RG in the back same as mine. Can’t remember the model, but mine is the one with Fishman Modern pickups.

The black on in the back is actually an RG7620 7-string. As soon as Ibanez put out your black JEM I wanted one so I could put a white pearloid guard on it and it'd basically be the brother to my white one! Just wish it came with the LoPro Edge instead of the Edge Pro!

It’s addictive. Love the easy access all the way up the neck. I didn’t like 24 fret necks until I started playing Jems and RGs, but now they tend to be my gigging guitars.
