Yeah you can be certain anytime something gets reissued the OG owners are going to do anything they can to preserve that piece of the market.

Ola returned an OG IIC+ (HRG I think?)… wood and wicker… was basically gifted to him… back to the original owner and kept the reissue IIC+ he got.

There’s definitely a handful of dudes with “vendettas” in the boogie forums. One guy has made a lot of good comparison vids on different marks… but exposed himself a bit trashing the + original RI while screaming “save your money and get a III” while he had multiple IIIs for sale at the $3k+ mark

I get not being interested in products or not supporting perceived “cash grabs” but I do draw the line at folks deriding, insulting, and mocking folks purchasing these products. It’s shit vibes and energy

Yeahhhhh I got my non GEQ model for $900 some months back

And I’m relieved someone finally bought the fully loaded unit for $1400 locally that sat for months. It was uncomfortable temptation

I just think you’d be fine with spending a little more on a VII, or spending a bit less and getting a used V or JP2C. People attach such a mystique to these amps.

I would not trade my III for either of those amps but I would happily own either of them. I still may snag a V at some point.
