Mesa Crunchberries

I’m listening to Pete’s video while I’m working and thinking “he pulled the bass knob with all that gain” and sure as shit, he has the bass knob pulled.

Marks aren’t super bassy amps, but if the goal is to push the bass, it HAS to be done at the GEQ post gain.

Every one of these videos use too much gain and too much pre-drive bass. I’m not sure how else to call it.
100%. If you’re going to pull the bass knob, you bring down the treble and gain and run an OD in front. Otherwise the bass knob stays pushed.

I want this amp so bad it’s not funny. To the point that a VII or JPIIC+ is far more logical and practical, but if I had three in front of me and someone told me to pick right now I’d probably go with the IIC++. Maybe.

I know we’re off the Majesty discussion now, but I got to play my first legit one today….just wish it weren’t this particular model-

I couldn’t believe my GC when I walked in today; I went to the used section first like I normally do, didn’t even glance at the new guitars because it’s always the same intermediate/beginner shit. Spend a few minutes with a nice Balgiuer (sp?) with a pale moon ebony board, might have been 26.5”, really nice guitar and I loved the neck. Then I turn to the new guitars and shit my pants because I wanted to play the majority of them and they were all at arm’s reach!!!

This was cool, the multiscale definitely helps with the 8th string. Didn’t bother plugging it in because I can’t play an 8-string for shit, but it felt great. Neck was WAY thinner than I’d expect it to be, like Wizard thin. As a whole, the guitar was way thinner than I’d expected. Felt great though, killer fret work. I can see myself with a 6 or 7 Majesty for sure. Been seeing some in the $2K-$2500 range in the last few months, there’s a ton of the market.

I loved the one in Nashville. GREAT neck and overall playing vibe. Ugh! :bonk:rofl

That was the Puppets tone wasn't it?

Anyway, was just playing along with the IIC+++ thing
Didn’t Sykes do that too ?
Or maybe I am confusing it perhaps that the other way around Jcm800 slaved into a Mesa Coliseum 500

I'm confused. They released the IIC++ already back at NAMM? And opened pre-orders back then as well. Is this a different amp? Or is this just the "official" release of it (even though they're already sold out)?

I only know about the IIC+ reissue that's now been out for a while. Found out about the IIC++ last week.
