I found a Mark Five:25 locally for a decent deal and semi-impulse bought it (I did think about it a little). I'd kinda forgotten how many great tones are in there. I also realized that instead of pulling the custom oversized 2x12 out of the garage I could be lazy and just use the CabClone through the FR-12. I didn't expect much with that setup but my initial impression is really good.

I have a DD-3 laying around and figured I'd just build a small pedalboard around that so I grabbed a tuner, another delay, and was scoping out some reverbs but @FractalAudio and @iaresee , bad influences that they are, made me order a VP-4. Guess the other pedals will get returned!

I had the Mark Five:35 and I've got to say that it was the best Mesa I've ever owned. I still traded it away though.

Buys an el84 mini mark. i dont get it.

As a dude with a room full of 100w amps I love... the Mk25 is great. It's just a fun little amp that does a lot and doesn't sound tiny and choked like a lot of other small amps do.

Ahhh. Seems you're upset I took attention away from your NAD thread I guess? That wasn't my intention so apologies for that. I, however, was asking a question spurred by previous comments. You were just making a snide comment.

Did I allude to that? If so I don't think it was intentional. However it does have a bit more thump and low end than one might typically expect from such a small, low-wattage amp. It's not quite the full experience though. Just more than you'd expect.

And also you seem to be a little cagey about what gets posted in your NAD, but you didn't think twice about "getting comfortable" in mine.

Its just some weirdness all around that I'm trying to understand. Which is why I said "I don't get it.".

The only weird thing I’m seeing is a strange interrogation about why one would get a mark instead of a 5150 followed by aggression about something that occurred in a different thread

No double standard here. Your comment felt like there was some negative energy being thrown. Don't be surprised when you get some back. If you'd phrased it like a question, I'd have provided an answer.

To answer the "question" I recently downsized into an apartment (with a garage) that has no shared walls but neighbors close on three sides. But that only affects how loud I can play...not what amp it could use. It's just a choice
