Unbelievable! They didn’t even shop him around for a better deal. Does Dallas know something nobody else knows? Luca’s calf injury or maybe his impending Free Agency played a role?

What say ye!

American sports... I didn't come here to talk about the Sydney Swans trading Luke Parker to North Melbourne after the worst Grand Final performance by the Swans in Australian Rules history.

Does Le Bron play for the Lakers? That's about the only name I know in the NBA.

There's an NFL thread somewhere?

Hmm, yeah, kind of surprising. Maybe something din't click between the Lakers and Anthony Davis. I'm not up enough on the specifics of his contact. Luca's 25 AD is 31, hmm .

I still don’t get the trade. Unless it’s coming out that Luka was partying hard w/ Diddy, I really don’t get why Dallas would do it. And for that haul!

Queue Kyrie trade request in 3, 2…

From the perspective of Dallas got the short end of the stick, yeah I can see that view. AD is big and imposing and players that fit that mold aren't that common, although maybe not as visible or flashy a player as Luca. Teams need players in different positions and different physical builds to make the unit click. Some players handle the ball, dribble and shoot, others post up, block and rebound. All the diffrent types are needed. Perhaps Dallas believed they were lacking a strong post player and rebounder and decidided that was the missing piece. Or it could be personality and front office conflicts. I don't follow all the specifics close enough to give a better answer. I'm not a huge basketball fan, and I'm neutral and luke warm about the trade either way. Let's see what happens further into the season.

I’m curious to see if there’s any truth to the seriousness of Luca’s calf injury? Still….he’s only 25. I can’t see that being a viable excuse for the long term. I guess only time will tell.

Can’t blame a guy for tryin’ :bonk

Maybe you can help with my question because basketball is not big here.

I saw the Last dance. And also saw some interviews with Kobe. I am sure what they’ve accomplished is very big but looking at the stats I can’t wrap my head around this.

Jordan played something like 20 seasons and won a total of 6 rings? Kobe also something like that?

That is 6/20. Why is that good?
