Looking at a Sliver Sky core

I love mine. It's the perfect Strat. The Strat tones I've been searching for for 20 years. If you're after those 1963/64 Strat tones, it has them in spades.

I was worried about the radius thing but I find it quite comfortable for the style of music I play (jamband stuff, lots of Grateful Dead in our setlists).

The pickups are really want make it IMHO. So if you're scared of the radius the SE is definitely worth a look.

As for the twat thing, I mean...you probably shouldn't worry what semi-anonymous balding guitar techs chasing exact replicas of their dead guitar hero's guitars have to saw when it comes to writing twat across your face. Just play what moves you.

(Edit: @Eagle hopefully knows I'm jabbing him in good fun...the man is a font of knowledge and shares it freely and I appreciate him for that. Even if he thinks I'm a twat.)
I’m obviously joking 🤣

Good for the money but not exceptional. Frets are too low and the pickups are too generic.

Yeah for some reason the SE's seem to have slightly lower frets than the S2 models (and assuming Core). The electronics are decent but nothing magical. Otherwise they are solid guitars.

Yes it’s a shame because the build is very good.

Sounds killer with the EMG SA SPC set. Mann trem upgrade, brass block. The frets are ok but I am going to put some Jescar SS jumbos in there soon. I may refinish it as well but for now it plays and sounds great.
