So a buddy of mine hit me up maybe 10(?) years ago about one of these, I scrambled around and found out they were brought in by an American company from Japan in the 70’s…there were priced around $800 back then and would be right around $4k now. 
His was and is one of the best guitars I’ve ever played. That thing is batshit crazy good. We’ve never even done a setup on it, just changed strings and we were completely reprehensive about that.
This one is:
OG 70s DiMarzios, TP bridge/tailpiece, OG brass nut, replaced with Orange drop caps and a new 3 way. Maple cap, Mahog body and neck, rosewood board and low frets.
This is a 70s Gibson sans price. I picked this up on Reverb for under a grand.
