I don`t get the looks of the new SW Amp Knobs in the UI on the Stadium, it just look messy, and hard to read looking at them.
Anybody else think this?

Why not just make is a circle?

Kind of reminds me of these old PodXT knobs:

I don't mind the look of them too much, they have the marker line, the bar on the outside and the value read out. I do wish more effort was made with how they're presented though - its still ultimately ALL of the controls dumped on the screen as a list (like with the sliders) where you have to search around to find what you need. I wish they were grouped together and more visually distinct, but it's a tough balance to strike with the space and controls available. Its something real amps largely just get right by design, and that more lifelike GUI's can take advantage of (like TMP).

One important feature of the Stadium knob design is that it not have any inherent color. That way the color follows the block type. That limited Line6's design options so they couldn't use a more conventional appearance for the knobs. There were probably also thinking that people would be so happy to not have sliders that they'd be forgiving of the knob design, which is probably true.

The editor is pretty primitive at this point. Using a single control type for all parameters, no meters, etc. Hopefully it will get some attention soon.

A wobble knob just inside a circle, with a circle marker outside, I find it messy looking. And yeah the dark red on black is not good.
Maybe the red on black makes it harder to read, and not the knobs..hmmm.

I think this is clean and easy to read + switch option is nice to read. At least better colors

Using knobs (or sliders for that matter) makes no sense for the parameters that would normally be a toggle or dropdown. I'm sure using the same UI element for every parameter makes things easier from a dev perspective, but I do hope they have plans to change this.

What's really annoying for me right now is scrolling. Not sure if this is the case on Windows, but when using the touchpad on a Mac if you try to scroll vertically and you accidentally have the pointer anywhere near a knob or slider you just end up changing the value of that parameter.

It's the same annoyance with a scroll wheel on a mouse. I've accidentally corrupted presets that way. Knobs are a little better than sliders because there's less screen real estate where that happens, but they've got a long way to go to get this editor up to the level of the competition.

I wish but I doubt it - it’s been the UI for the helix editor (sans the knobs) for many years - I doubt they’ll change it.

Yes! Very annoying.

But one thing i hate on my QC is having 3 digits on some knob ( MIX ) settings. Like 12.8 % when it it goes to 100.0
It makes it so much harder to fine tune and to use the HW knobs.
I just need 12% and 13%,and 49% that is all I need to tweak.

This one needs to have tried in real life to get, hehe

2 years ago I got myself a HX Stomp, used it for 2 days, and sold the thing, I can not stand the sliders thing, makes it soo hard to read, and is just like you say a mess to use on screen with a muse, I was scrolling things all the time haha!

That red on black is hideous, regardless of the knobs.

Not only that, but red on a black background can quickly lead to eye strain and reduced readability for people with astigmatism. Other particularly bad color combinations include blue, purple/magenta, and yellow on a black background.

I wish the editor had a monochrome option/bright theme with black text on a white background.
