Helix Stadium Desktop and AxeFx IV Desktop

Desktop only units are probably too niche. You need a separate controller for live use and it doesn't fit into a rack for studio use. You need a really good onboard UI which takes space and costs money. I just can't see it being nearly as profitable as either a pedalboard, floor board, or rack unit.
I feel like this is where everyone seem to miss the point. The idea is this could serve as a desktop, amp top and rack mounted solution if well designed. Mounted on a rack shelf it should only take 1 or 2 rack spaces, but it wouldn’t be limited to a tiny screen because the main screen and controls would be on the top and accessible with the shelf slid open. Add a foot controller like Fractal’s FC6 or FC12 and you have a unit that could be used anywhere while being more compact and flexible than standard rack gear.

After using the Helix XL the last few weeks I have come to realize what I really want from a next generation modeler, besides everything, is a unit without footswitches ideal for desktop, stand, amp top or two space slide out rack shelf that's integrated with a separate footswitch like Fractal's FC6 and FC12. I've barely touched the on unit UI because I like my footswitches on the floor so I can use my feet. So 95% of the time I'm using the computer editor and the fancy new UI goes untouched.

I find traditional rack mount units like the AxeFx III to big and bulky, limited on screen size without taking up like 6 rack spaces, and clunky on the desktop. I propose a compact desktop unit like the standard Stadium without the footswitches would be a more ideal form factor. Works well on the desktop, stand, on top an amp or mounted to a slide out rack shelf.

Anyone else want a Stadium or Fractal desktop unit somewhat like below?

Glad to see someone other than me sees the value in a desktop/rack and floor modeler design. Sadly it’s not Line 6 or Fractal.
