Um... it is? On paper at least, it looks like a much more complete product than Fender's line.
(real) Power is about the same for both as well.
It’s not even the same product type. It’s not FRFR.

No digital. No conversion. No additional latency. Just a great solid cab, a lot of power, good connectivity.
It’s not even the same product type. It’s not FRFR.
I have a pair or CLR Neo wedges for my fractal, but my Helix is still rocking with my PowerCab 212+. It sounds great!... the Powercabs, work for me I have not changed them for the the Fender or ToneX offerings,
Like the OG Tech 21 powered cabinets…
The open-back Powercab CL 212 and Powercab CL 112 feature simple controls and are loaded with traditional 12" guitar speakers. They can be used with or without Speaker Voicings that interact with the speakers to make them sound and respond more like one of six legendary guitar speakers. Powercab CL cabs are ideal for both practice and live performance.
The premier Powercab 212 Plus, Powercab 112 Plus, and Powercab 112 speaker systems offer higher power and more extensive control capabilities than CL family cabs. They feature closed-back cabinets, coaxial speakers with high-frequency compression drivers, and can be used as full-range flat-response (FRFR) systems or with one of 12 Speaker Models.
This thread is proof that there tribalism isn’t really a thing in this sub lmfao
I agree this product is a weird one
I mean…neither was the original. It’s not even the same product type. It’s not FRFR.

At least it doesn’t have that curved cab. I didn’t like the way that sounded.
It had a flat mode, to run with IR’s. As to its flatness, I do not know.
If it's anything like the speakers used in the Catalyst, those are reportedly quite flat by default.
The only issue is guitar speakers having a very limited frequency response range, rolling off at 5Khz or so - so they won't quite do the FRFR/PA thing.
I was referring to the original PowerCabs, which had a flat mode to use with IR’s.
