It's almost like you haven't spent much time in the digital section of various forums...new firmware drop drip only lasts for so long. There are a loooooot of folks that just NEED to try new tech, even if the newness is almost exclusively UI/form factor. 10 years with the same hardware is a LOOOOOOOOONG time for a lot of folks.
Also, to be fair, there are a lot of folks that have been using their Helix long enough that it's probably getting close to the "ya know, this thing is WELL slogged. I probably should replace it before a switch fails at just the wrong time" that probably wouldn't bother replacing with a new Helix OG, but will go for it with a new gen unit, even if all they do is copy all their old presets into it.
