Line 6 Helix Stadium Talk

Also, while on the subject of clones, I rolled the dice on the LiveReadySound Proxy "test" sampler that @Deadpan has created for $20. Pretty fair price for a good sampling of clones (2 each) of a Dover DA-50, Omega Granophyre, PRS MT-15, and boosted Orange Rockerverb III.

First off, kudos to the man for providing Proxy content in the wild early days when there isn't yet a marketplace or similar function yet to make it easy both to sell and protect his content.

Second, there are some bangers on here. I know the Neural DSP folk are no stranger to the Omega Granophyre, but I never messed with the plug-in and tend to avoid their software like the plague now for other reasons. This is quite the pissed-off high gain amp, but with a really nice gain texture/character. Would probably be near the top of my wishlist for Line 6 to do an Agoura model now, and it wouldn't be a "me too" gesture from DI and the gang since there still is no model of this amp on any hardware modeling platform yet. I've been crushing on the Dover DA-50 clones too. All of them are full amp/cab captures going through his "preferred" cab, a 2x12 Mesa V30.

Anyway, just wanted to give the pack a bit more visibility. It's currently the only Proxy one currently available at his site: https://livereadysound.com/presets-and-bundles. Maybe I'll create a demo clip this weekend if time allows.

Hope we see more from him soon....
Appreciate the purchase and mention.

The Granophyre is a sick amp. The NDSP Plugin is fine. Pretty sure the plugin is based on the very first model. And I am not sure how much different mine sounds from the original, but mine has the newer transformers. Very organic, whereas the plugin I found a bit dry.

Someone had asked for an audio clip of the MT15 capture. I just hit record and played some random riffing. Trying to hit different techniques to show how it responded. This is unboosted. I had a little plate verb on in the Stadium.

For anyone curious:
