Another bug:
When you load any IRs into the unit, any edits you make to anything after that event do not save to the unit. I just lost about an hour's work because the presets I'd saved disappeared when rebooting the unit.

Not doubting that it happened to you, but I just loaded a bunch of acoustic IRs, made an acoustic sim presets, saved it and it's still there after having turned it off and back on.
Have you been able to reproduce the non-saving behavior since?

Yep. This happens any time I load IRs into the unit. You'll know it's going to happen when you create a preset, save as new, and it saves the preset blank. I thought, okay, let's just create it again and save. Seemed to save fine on the unit. Navigated away and back, still there. Rebooted the unit sometime later because the audio became unbalanced in stereo again. Preset gone.

I'll occasionally browse there to see if there is anything new that got missed from our end as far as cool new gear goes but it generally just feels like a bunch of alts doing what they think is the lord's work?

A number of the contrarian accounts over there definitely feel like they belong to one or two users that are being permitted to engage that way.

DI has stated he believes there are sock puppet accounts there which are run by competitors. I used to be skeptical of that, but that thread should convince anyone that he's right.
