Looks like Leo's been doing "his own research" a lot these days.

Not gonna derail the topic here, but most of these quoted articles have nothing to do with the topic at hand - and at least one has bogus authors listed. It's not a great look when you present yourself as an authority on a subject armed with nothing but ChatGPT slop.

Ok, so here we are again.

I see the engineering dilemma here. The method of "cloning" itself creates issues with a pure NULL analysis. Clearly, someone paid some serious time making sure aliasing was addressed in the algorithm (hat's off to the engineers!).

So in the absence of the NULL test, are we again left with our ears? God forbid .

I still think that Stadium is revolutionary in ways that other digital amps are literally years behind on. I have always maintained that having the ability to tweak your tone to get "your tone" is WAY more important than accuracy anyway. I would now add that Stadium ALSO provides crazy good features (like playing multi-track stems and coordinating DMX lighting and giving you automatic patch changes within a song when using backing track) that are simply not even in consideration on other platforms.

Well, my hat's off to the Line 6 product and engineering teams. Now, when can I get a rack and foot controller version

I still maintain that capture accuracy differences between the major players is FAR from the biggest product differentiation between them. This video doesn't change my mind at all in that respect.

When can we get a shoot out video that goes use-case through use-case for the different types of people that use digital amps? I think that would be ideal at this point and we can move (finally) past a simple NULL test.

I also think that Line 6 should do a little work on the reverbs and delays, but that's just me.

Here's the kicker: null tests were never a good metric for profiling performance. Good to see Gibson slowly dropping this bit.

-aside from any numerical testing, there were still audible differences which we know L6 is actively working on
-integrate NAM into the Stadium to cover all angles

But how does it sound/feel to the ears, that SHOULD be the only thing that matters to each individual. I wondered as an outside observer how the L6 would take his testing. As a Fractal/KPP V2/soon Sonulab, I really could give a sh*t about this testing. It's meaningless to my ability to enjoy any of this gear. Stadium owners, just enjoy making music!

Considering the amount of flack that Kemper received because of its poor LUFS result, I would expect the same level of flack for Line 6 for the -31 LUFFS reading (Kemper V2 is at -33.6).

What I still think is that while Kemper is a great gig rig, compared to Stadium it is lacking in many respects. The ONLY advantage I would still give to Kemper is the reverbs and delays.

It will be interesting to see how people react to this NULL test.
