There are tons of great high gain demos of the existing Helix and every sound it has is in this box.

So why bother getting this then ?

I obviously haven’t touched a stadium but the screen looks top notch on it. TMP screen is good and the touch is decent. The touch on the stadium one looks better / closer to a flawless phone.

Saying it looks fuzzy is whack, I’m sure it’ll be best in class.

Maybe not 'modern high gain', but the video stated an intent to build a 'brown' tone, with Mark playing very creditable interpretations of Eddie's licks. IMO, the tone wasn't there. Maybe Ben doesn't do 'brown'.

I agree…the vid was chaotic and guitar player was too demanding and ruined the flow

I actually agree on the reverb thing, though. As I love Lettieri's playing a lot, I also listened to his sounds a bit, and he often uses pretty much bone dry rhythm sounds, which I thought could've been featured a bit more in the video.

Here's a video from a german guy. Nothing exactly new, but it showcases how quick you could possibly adjust amp sounds in Focus mode. Pretty impressive, as all that he's doing would take a *lot* of knob twisting if done manually per parameter.

Defenitely. For a start, being able to alter the factory settings for each extremes and saving them as a user default would possibly be sufficient already.

"Klingt sau geil!" is high praise coming from a German This is also the first time we've gotten a (sort of) XL release date for Europe: end of autumn.

I have to say, the focus view thing is really growing on me. I originally envisioned it to be more of a gimmick, but seeing people making the exact same kind of adjustments i would make with just a quick finger swipe is remarkable.

I know. I won't get a Stadium that early anyway, maybe I'll be late by 3-4 years again, just as with the OG Helix.

He's a G66 presenter for Fractal. It would be interesting to get his take certainly. He did a few on unit dial in vids with Henning for the FM9 and their back and forth on the interface was pretty funny.

Without translating the whole thing, he sounded pretty impressed with the sounds and UI workflow.

Yeah I know. Long time FAS advocate, too (converted from a Helix, IIRC, been in the german Helix FB group).

For whatever's worth, those foldable laptop stands are a dime a dozen in AliExpress. The only thing you get from Amazon is faster shipping.

True actually, good point. Not sure whether the weight of the LT might be a bit much for the average laptop stand though...

Just curious which options you’re comparing it to? Fractal definitely seems like the “one to beat” but everyone has different preferences.

Seems like the jury is still out.
