The miced track seemed slightly louder and brighter
But realistically could probably fix that in about 10 seconds , tonally I thought they were like 95% the same

Real amps and cabs and mics are the coolest. Compromise is fine and doesn’t have to be a big deal.

But it’s the real thing vs like the real thing.

Yeah, my ears could hear a telltale difference. I thought the IR and LoadBox
were darker and more muffled to my ears. A lot of missing high-frequency
content in the IR and Loadbox. To me.

Leon seemed to prefer the darker/bassier tone.

Ok here is my question since you have had both The QC and the Hotone Ampero stage
If you had to give one back if we just look at amp models and effects no capturing your own amps , which one stays and which one goes

Amps always sound happiest to me when using a nice cab as the load, more open, the low end blooms in a more satisfying way, things are more open/less congested.

Load boxes are awesome and probably the best compromise there is.
