@Benlfin,
What rig are you running now? Genuinely curious.
Hey riffy !
No drams's - sorry for the late response ... time differences from here to the rest of the world ....
firstly I shall put on my whole body fire and flame proof suit.
After years of selling and buy "all in one units" I decided to go modular digital
Here goes:-
-> Base is a Joyo RDB2 Pedal Board
-> MacBook Air M4
-> Tahoe OS
-> GigPerformer 5 Pro
-> 2 x Genome Instances for Pre and Post EFX
-> Scuffham s-Gear for Amps - runs everything internally at 8x Oversampling
-> whole rig runs at 96k
-> various other AU Plugins of choice
-> Scarlet 4th Gen for HiZ Input
-> Morningstar MC6 Pro + 2 x Auxilliary
-> real world measured I/O latency with everything turned on is ~ 3.1ms or lower
-> Racks / Presets switch instantly and seamlessly
-> Full spillover
-> the Mac M4 runs Gigperformer 5 at a steady %26 and less than %8 on the M4 itself
-> Used it for numerous gigs and rehearsals - both of which are basically non-stop 3 x 45 sets
-> Absolutely stable and glitch / pop / stutter free
-> shut the lid between sets - lift the lid again and go
-> the Joyo Board is compact and everything fits on it perfectly except for the Exp Pedal off to the side
-> and it all fits in my old Helix LT padded gig bag
->
see pic of it on my desk below - shit and leads everywhere because am in between gigs.
After trying Helix Native, 8 x NDSP Demos [for "load testing" purposes] and Nembrini, Polychrome etc..., I was recommend S-Gear and it is far and away - to me - the most natural sounding and feeling Amp sim I've ever used - only about 5 amps, but man.
F.w.i.w, I've emailed Mike Scuffham directly about a few things and thoughts and he responded back in detail each time within a day or so.
If I want to change and use different plugins / sims etc..... its easy. If I want a better HiZ I/O its easy. If want more or less Midi FSW its easy. If I want a different Exp Pedal is easy. If ever I need more cpu power and juice - almost unimaginable to be honest - I sell the M4 and buy an M5 or M6 or M7 - there are zero cpu processing limitations
is rock solid as are all the plugs and S-Gear.
Its the Mac M4 and Gigperformer 5 Pro that makes this all possible and work
You cans see now why my gut is telling me the Player V2 is facing some very stiff competition which I probably think it will struggle against even though Im going to give it a go .... the "modularity" of this rig is also going to be hard to leave.
Actually .... having now explained and laid it out, Im starting to think the Player might end up on FB Marketplace much sooner than I thought :)
