I just learnt about those LVLs in Kemper. Wow, that sucks a lot. I hope Line6 doesn't ever go that road with Helix.

I don't think I'm going to convince anyone otherwise, but I'm fine with Kemper having one device that is priced low with an option to upgrade for a fee.

This is better than only selling the high priced version, right?

They've done a reasonable job adding features and updates to the low priced version.

I get that it's unappealing and outside the norms for the industry.

I think they missed a big opportunity with the Player. If they would have priced it at ~$600 and put everything in it for free (LVL3), they would have sold so many they would have had to open a new factory just to build the thing fast enough.

Not unlikely. Possibly would've bought one myself in that case (even if I find some UI aspects rather bad).

Interesting. At least it sounds as if that particular gate is working in a way I wouldn't want any gate to work like.
In the end it might be a combination of some things causing that particular cocked wah sound - I wouldn't happen to know at all. All I know is that none of the profiles I tried it with showed any excessive kind of that behaviour. But I obviously wouldn't know how those profiles compare to the original as they were all 3rd party stuff (and didn't profile anything myself).
