Thank You, Scientist has had a lot of changes in the last few years, but they're working on new stuff. New singer, new drummer. Sal was amazing, so he'll be tough to top.

They've had a rough go of it, with personnel changes happening. But I'm hoping they get back on their feet and release more music. The whole band is brilliant, and as a 35 year trumpet player (that makes me a fucking expert in this field ) it's really cool to hear horns in a rock context today.

I agree, it will be difficult to replace the singer. He is great and has a unique voice that's perfect for their music.

Feed the horses is one of my 2nd daughter favorite songs since she was 5.

What catched her attention was the vocals.

Deadpan came into this thread and gave us 2 different posts to pick which was the amp and which was the Kemper, we all guessed which was the Kemper on the first one and when we did it with the 2nd one he never even came back to reveal which was which. What would give him reason to not reveal which was which, maybe because we already knew?

And I was listening on a Ipad.

TBF, I think I listened to the first clip on my studio monitors rather than the iPad, but the 2nd one was definitely the iPad.

I saw the list and the positive reaction to Thank you, Scientist so I wanted to find out what they sound like. Fired up Spotify as I was driving between two service calls and thought damn they are good! Love that girls voice, she has power and control and has the tasteful ‘jazz singer’ instincts! I wonder what her story is, how did this band form etc

So later I told my wife I found out about a new great band and hit YouTube to show her. Found the video of a performance including a school band…clicked on it…
Well she is a big dude with a great voice and chops.

Also, I spotted this yesterday and thought of you guys discussing wiener care:

Did you really think it was a girl? I get that some singing voices can be a bit ambiguous, but I never really thought that with this band. He does have a high voice though.

Yea actually did. Once I watched him on you tube I felt like I shouldn’t have but that just validates the listening with you eyes thing so…no defense…
