To be fair the step from the Ultra to the II was fairly minor, aesthetically, but the inclusion of IRs was monumental.

The Axe Fx ecosystem was 5 years old at that point...

Well, somehow this is still a mistery until we see what the new profiling makes.

I think We all agree that Kemper hardware was old and they needed to make a new unit. And it's here. But they missed the opportunity of making an all new UI, with nowadays technology... So this launch doesn't start very well, to begin with. Even so... If new profiling is good, I guess Kemper can compete.

We will have to see I think it’s still remotely possible Line6 is going to release or announce something new in June

I think it's always been ok in KPA land (around 3ms for a loaded rig, IIRC) - and not many folks seem to actually use the FX loop a lot. So maybe that's why it's not a hot topic yet.

The last concert I went to 2 of the 3 bands all played Kempers. They sounded great. I don’t think anyone really cares about the latency as most find it negligible.

Fully and easily readable in direct sun. Really only BOSS and Kemper can say that.
