Is the Vypyr still the best practice amp for metal?

My old Vypyr 60 seems to have died (almost certainly because I modded it a few years ago).

I want something decent for the living room and with built in effects (especially delay and reverb). Think I’m just gonna grab a Vypyr X2. The other thoughts were a Katana or a Catalyst, but I’ve had both in the past (previous versions) and not really enjoyed the high gain tones.

Vypyr has a ton of features and effects that I definitely don’t give a crap about (Sitar? Electric violin? Anybody care about that kinda crap anymore?) but it seems to have the basics down well enough?

I have a vypyr 2 and really like it for metal tones. Plus, you can use it for bass and acoustic guitars
