I Want a Headless

Hmm.. This particular one is 24.75". Not sure I'm a fan of that. Especially since it'll be tuned to D standard.

New Strandberg next week.

Sounds like Strandberg is finally putting out the pop-in tremolo arm with the new budget Plini model. As far as I know it’s always been screw-in tremolo arm.

I asked about this when I visited their office for an event and Ola said it was coming. Hoping to be able to order one soon and switch on my Prog 7 since it’s supposed to be replaceable. I much rather be able to pop in and out the arm depending on mood that have to wiggle it around. It’s also prone to breaking if you happen to overtighten it.

updated EGS Rev7B tremolo bridge with pop-in arm,

It had a collar like a Floyd at one time but it’s been push in for years.

On the issue of tight tuning on headless bridges.
There are ways of making it a lot better . You can add a Teflon washer or even a thrust bearing. One or other will definitely fit and a very worthwhile addition. Most of the newer better systems have one or the other.

Ok just bought a Mayones Hydra elite 6.
Pics later.

There's one of them on Irish ads too. Wouldn't dare ask for a swap.

Flawless workmanship and sounds great, capable of traditional tones as well . BK TKO pickups which are as good as all there others. AMB bridge is excellent. Headpiece is very good too. Neck profile is very similar to a vintage Jackson Soloist ( thicker than a new one ) so great for me . Can’t put it down. Sounds fantastic acoustically too which is the most important part. If you get chance play one. This and the Aristides are the best available by far.

I like the fact the frets are straight on this and the string hight off the body . Small details like the screws on the backplate are bolts in to inserts. No buzz however hard you play.
