I just geeked out on picks...

So how does it compare in like...., do you notice that it "glides" thru the strings any better? (Something I seem to recall being claimed.)

Maybe a bit yeah. Sounds and feels great.

Just noticing now after a while of playing it kind of got hot feeling in my fingers? I'll have to keep messing around to see if that's for real or if I'm going nuts.

Pushed back again. Now July 1st:

Hard to believe I’ve been waiting over a year for these. 🙄

I might have geeked out on picks a time or two…

I love and hate this thread. I love it because it makes me feel less bad about all the time and money I've spent experimenting with picks. I hate it because whenever something cool pops up, I spend more time and money on picks.

Lately, I've been using picks from Chicken Picks, Honey Picks, Dan's Guitar Store, and D'Addario's Black Ice.

You haven’t lived until you have tried the two in one pick tuner 👍

Like a pregnancy testing kit I had to check a few to make sure it worked 🤣

That is seriously one of the dumbest guitar inventions I have ever seen. When it comes to tuning aides, that is actually even dumber than the Gibson robotuners that go rogue and snap the headstock*, which is a seriously high threshold to cross. I see they are less than $3 direct from China, but why?

* Snapping the headstock on an expensive guitar would normally be a bigger negative, but since the Gibson headstock is likely to snap off anyway, having the robotuners do it for you could almost be considered a feature.

Oooooooooh, I found an even better deal!!!!! Less than $2 AND if you buy 20 pieces of junk, they will give you a whopping 3% off!!!!!!

Good thing they told me where the display area was and that red represents pitch...

Every time I see these I think wouldn’t your thumb be covering up the display while you’re trying to tune? How do you hold it so you can both pluck the string and see the display?

I can’t remember if I heard about them here or elsewhere, but the Dunlop Flow Gloss picks are nice. Smooth but sufficiently bright, and they have a nice thumb divot for grip.

I’ve always felt like with as many different picks as are out there that sanding/shaping them was kinda like tweaking a Fractal amp block deep parameter. But I knocked the pointings and sharpness of the edge back on this Big Stubby a little and now find I REALLLY like it - it’s thick enough that I definitely feel less had cramping/fatigue/tendinitis when using it, but always too sharp on the strings for me.

Nice! I've been using those 3.0mm Purple ones, and even want to try the 420 Green Stubby Picks.

Me using MASSIVE plectrums is not something I saw coming. Glad I didn't just assume I wouldn't
like them and have tried a lot of the Thicc Picks this past year. :beer

I got used to thicker picks playing mandolin and can't really do anything less than 1.2mm or so on anything anymore. So much more control, and if I need a softer sound...just use the fingers.

(also, not insignificant at all . . . the purple ones match the new tele...)
