Hotone Ampero II

I don't think so. Reddit and Ampero forums I've seen have a TON of reports of the same. A lot of people thought it was just the headphone out, but I'm experiencing it through the other non-XLR output as well. Not the power in my house either. I've run FM9s, Helix, HX Stomp and Fender ToneMaster Pro all on the exact same outlet.....no noise.

How do you monitor your Ampero II?

I play. with my II Stage nightly using headphones. No noise. I've had it since it came out. Best of luck

To be clearer, I hear that noise whenever I take my hands off my guitar, so it's clearly a grounding issue within the power supply or the unit.

I would be curious to know if your units stay quiet if you also aren't touching your guitar in any way. This is not a deal-breaker by any means because my hands are usually on the guitar when I sit down to play. Just something I noticed that's more acute than with other modelers I've used.

That being said, I'm still really enjoying it. There are just a wealth of great sounds that are easy to access, and it has my major tonal food groups covered quite nicely.

For me, every lo-gain/clean patch I've set up hasn't needed the noise-gate. They're quiet as can be with my guitars I've run thru it. Every gainy patch I've set up benefits from the noise gate being in the chain. I typically use a gate 1st in the chain on this. Yes touching the strings will lower that noise , even using humbucker pickups . It's kind of the nature of the game

To answer AlbertA's question with the volume all the way down, there's zero noise.

I'm lucky (and old!) and own dozens of amps and fx pedals, so I know what noise levels are with gain-structures,etc and the Ampero Stage II has excellent gates on board just for that normal issue. I haven't found the noise more than using any of my real amps/pedals at all, and touching guitar strings can lower noise in many different situations even when your guitar is perfectly grounded, and your outlet reads fine. (don't ask me why, someone else will have to answer that)

Perhaps it accidentally shipped with a QC power supply ?
I kid 😂
