HELP: ToneX Software Installation issues on Mac OS

Let me preface this by saying that I'm a noob to the ToneX world, so I'm guessing my situation is user error more than anything else. But I purchased a copy of ToneX MAX in November last year (around black friday, I guess) and forgot about it for a while. But I've been trying to install it now via the IK Product Manager, and everything goes fine until the install completes itself. The installer even says it installed successfully, but immediately after I close the installer, the IK Product Manager says that the install failed (screenshots below). If I try to open any of the ToneX software (editor, modeller, or the standalone app), it just crashes without opening. I tried contacting IK product support, but couldn't get through for some reason. Could anybody here offer any insights into what might be going wrong? I am on a MacBook, btw.

Sorry to hear you're having installation issues but I'm not sure, that could be multiple things. What didn't get through for support? Did you log a request at https://www.ikmultimedia.com/contact-support/sw ? That will get a rep who will reach out and assist you directly.
Hello! Thanks for responding. I did log a request about this a while back using the same form as the one you have linked here. I’ve resent a request and so hopefully this gets resolved this time! Thanks again.

Possibly a permissions issue on one of the system folders that the installer needs to write to.
The installer asks me for permission to access the folder in which is installs the software every time I try to install it. I grant access and then the install proceeds smoothly. I even have a copy of the installer present in that folder which also runs independently of the IK Product Manager if I manually open the installer.

Yeah but Apple is asshole.

Well whaddya know, I managed to install it on my older Macbook that is running MacOS Catalina (IIRC). I had tried installing it on this Macbook earlier but encountered the same issue. But the installer just randomly decided to work this time for no apparent reason. I did nothing different this time than all the previous occasions.

My main Macbook running the latest OS (Tahoe) is still encountering the problem that I stated in the OP.
