Helix Talk

It seems it will Cater to a very diverse crowd and of course it will not be perfect no matter what
in my case there are many nice features that i just would not use, like the touch screen and the automation and all the routing possibilities but many will see this as a must

so yeah

Not avoiding it, I just haven't used my stomp as an amp modeller in ages so I don't have clean patches for it to replace. I don't like playing through headphones and prefer guitar speakers to studio monitors. I could run my stomp into my amps power amp in but I love the sound of my amp so why bother?
I’ve moderated my feverish adherence to Stomp-Club insomuch as I’m recognizing that the day I sell my Stomp I will be at peace when I have to re-buy it. Life is long and there’s a lot of toys to be played with.

Yo @Digital Igloo

The German Xtra Red (and Blue) is broken I think:

Tons of DC and weird self noise related to the bias and ripple parameters. Amp sounds wrong too, in a way that sounds like the poweramp is farting out or misbehaving. Other amps in Helix don't do this to the same degree (most allow adjustment of bias and ripple without DC or any noise being generated with no input).

With the new product I assume the Helix rack , regular floor and LT will be discontinued?
I expect the stomp ,stomp xl and the Fx will stay until next gen versions become available.

They eventually will be discontinued but not in the near future. Rack might be the first to go, though.

After all, even when stadium will be in the stores, OG helix at permanent discounted price will represent a great value for lots of people out there.

I guess they they will keep them in production for few years or untill they'll be able to replace that price point spot with a new stadium line box.

Some transition time is expected. As the prices have gone down, they still have the chance to sell well for a while.

I'd expect the current Floor unit sales to decay first, in favor of the new Stadium. Then, if they make a new Stomp or Rack, the current units will also go down. Eventually, I'd expect the LT to be an equivalent to the Pod Go: the more affordable unit with most of the features.

I estimate this transition will happen within the next 5-8 years, as the Stadium family grows both in software and hardware.

I think the three full size pieces will be gone in 2 years. The others being replaced one for one.
