Helix Talk

Was anything specific said about how much more powerful stadium is than floor/lt? Or about whether additional updates will be coming to the older units, or is 3.8 the end of the road?
Well, they've increased the amount of blocks per path from 8 to 12, so it must be at least 50% more xD

Looks like I will be able to merge some of my songs presets into a single one, but in all honesty, I'll likely run out of DSP with the new presets I'll do from now.

I suspect Cliff was right when he said they are likely using the new SHARC chips which are faster and each one has more CPU than the entire current floor Helix , so likely 2X or 2.5 times the CPU

I have a question :

WHAT the FUCK is this new TREND of demonstrating MUSIC GEAR without providing any GUITAR TONES???
😂😂😂

First Kemper now line6!!!

Really???
Just wait until the actual product ships & all the issues, criticisms, influencer shilling & fanboism hits TGF :clint

Gotta say I was underwhelmed by that as well. But then, the entire product presentation was pulled off more like a "factual" thing, so any "listen to these 60 seconds of lush reverb tails" possibly wouldn't have fitted too well.
I'd still like to hear some of the new stuff, but I'm kinda sure we'll hear plenty of sound demos rather soon.

Honestly, the tones are the least what I care about at a product presentation, it's the features and specs that matter to me.
For tones I go to the independent reviewers once available.

Of course, Ferrari would say their new car is the best, but I'd like to know what Doug DeMuro thinks :clint

Thinking about going against the perceived wisdom of never sell your stomp and selling my stomp.

Not really using it anymore, selling it will help fund a VP4 and when Line 6 release OG Helix/HX updates I've always got Native to check them out.

I'm really interested in the new Stadium products but I'm not the target audience for the new flagships. I'd be more interested in whatever smaller 'stompish' model they'll eventually announce.

Hmm, I'm just not sure.

You'll regret it the day someone bought it - or the next days, which is what happened to the guy I got mine from, even if he bought my Floor in that trade. "Booohooo, I need something for my vacations!"

I don't take a guitar on vacation. If we visit my wife's parents I play her dad's Martin. I also haven't used the amp modelling in about 2 years now. I still haven't played the Super reverb added in the last update.

Uhm, that's a loss, seriously. Has replaced each and every clean amp in all my patches.

Not avoiding it, I just haven't used my stomp as an amp modeller in ages so I don't have clean patches for it to replace. I don't like playing through headphones and prefer guitar speakers to studio monitors. I could run my stomp into my amps power amp in but I love the sound of my amp so why bother?

No wings, sadly. Best wings I've ever had in my life are the salt and pepper wings from here.

Mentioned this before, but we're not announcing any new Helix/HX firmware at the 10th Anniversary Party. Too soon, I'm afraid—the timing just didn't work out.

I guess you'll just have to watch one of the 4.6 billion other web pages on the internet then. ;)
………………………Well played, sir. No new FW indeed……just the most stunning hardware .

The one thing I'm most bummed is that there's stuff that were obviously overlooked in the OG Helix and were never addressed.

Two very big ones that I think pretty much agrees with:
LFO and Envelope controllers. Assigned just like an expression pedal or button.
No real use for the mics in tandem with the guitar. No vocoder/talkbox/vocal harmonizer.

One pet peeve of mine, but still think it has real effect improving user experience:
There are as close as objective as possible better choices for the default input impedance for quite a few effects.

It would be nice to see them in a FW before they officially close the gates.

Sure does, but I love my Strips which they neglected to add :)
100% agree about the strips - love them on my Floor, actually one of the reasons I decided against an LT.

The other reason: 10 stomp switches, which I see they gave to both versions this time. I like that!

Being able to add your "personal" expression pedals is also a good thing, imho.

Yes I dont like Fixed EXP pedal have to place it where I like it
and well in all honesty i can live without the strips just have to use my brain more lol
So stadium would be for me with the separate EXP
