Oh btw, for whatever reasons, I think DXR 10s are a better choice for most modeling applications (I tried a bunch of 10s vs 12s when looking for a fullrange monitor, 10s always came out more balanced).
Good to know. A nice pair of powered speakers like those is actually higher on my wishlist than any other piece of gear at this moment.

And fwiw, for the last 1-2 hours I was merely sitting here, just playing the Voltage (running through the Mandarin 30 cab) in a bone dry setting (zero reverb/delay), only adding the occasional Top Secret OD (which I love for almost-but-not-just fuzzy territory - if only it had a tad more output level on tap...), nothing else. It's just such a gratifying amp, my absolute go-to for dirts of pretty much all kinds. Takes internal and external pedals like a champ, too.

I 1000% agree that a speaker with a 10" woofer is a perfect solution as a guitar monitor. In fact, I also use them as satellite speakers for my PA system in small venues (along with subwoofers).

The Yamaha DXR 10 is an excellent model, but for us Europeans – purely for price reasons – I can only recommend the RCF Art 910-A, which is absolutely on par imho.

People who think Germans are not fun have... never interacted with a German  That people have some of the driest, yet strongest, sense of humor i've experienced.
Internet sarcasm was the obstacle here, sorry. I was being ironic. I live in Vienna, Austria, and Germany is one of our neighbour countries.

I've a got a bunch of friends from there, as well as family living up north, who I usually visit during summer. All good. 🥳
