HELIX STADIUM FEATURE REQUEST: Bring back 8-stomp mode!

I really, really miss 8-stomp mode. I never need all ten slots, and would far prefer the ability to advance through presets in a setlist with one tap, instead of being forced to change modes and then select the next preset. I would love to see 8-stomp mode return, or to get the "better solution" @Digital Igloo refers to in the comment below. I really don't want to copy and paste commands into Command Center for 60-plus presets.

There's no 8-switch Stomp mode in Stadium; both Stomp A and Stomp B are 10-switch. We ditched it because eventually, there'll be a better solution and we didn't want methods conflicting with one another. In the meantime, you can assign FS1 to Bank Up and FS7 to Bank Down from the Command Center, but this is per-preset. Easy to copy/paste them into other presets tho'.

I can't be the only one, can I? Is there some trick others use to change presets when in Stomp mode?

1. From the Command Center, assign Bank Up to FS1 and Bank Down to FS7 (in Stomp A, Stomp B, or both modes).
2. Save the preset as a template.
3. Start every new preset with your template.

Thanks! Saving that as a template is a good idea, but doesn't help for all the existing presets I have already created.

Is there anything you can say about the better solution and when it might arrive? I'm having trouble imaging what a better solution would be compared to the 8-stomp option.

I mean you can make 8 stomp mode in about 30 seconds of work or less in control center so I don’t think it’s a big deal for many.

Gonna have to agree. I think a "dynamic eq" block would serve better. I already have an mc8 covering snapshots and stomp/preset works fine for me.

Now multiply that by 60 or more existing presets, and maybe you see the problem? Plus, having to move switch assignments from FS1 and FS7 in some of the newer presets. I mean, I could do it, and it might just take half an hour or an hour. But then would that conflict with whatever the "better solution" Digital Igloo is being so coy about? Meaning I might have to undo it all whenever that comes out.

I truly don't understand why they did away with it, or what could improve upon it for those of us who want stomps AND the ability to change presets with one footswitch.

No offence but you could just sit and do 60 presets in 30 mins or so. Probably less. I don’t think it’s that big of an ordeal

wait, so.... 30 minutes of work that you have to do once, vs. who knows what kind of effort for resurfacing a feature that isn't on the roadmap and doesn't seem to have a large amount of support behind it?

it's fortunate that there's a solution that can work exactly as you want it to - it just has a small amount of annoyance involved one time, and then you're good. you'd have it done in an evening and be preset flipping like it never even happened before you knew it.

But why do away with the feature in the first place? Eight-stomp mode was a good thing. Why didn't they go to 10 snapshots and do away with the ability to have snapshots and bank or preset up/down in snapshot mode, too? Why is it only those of us who like stomp mode who have to figure out how to work around this decision?

I just don't get it.

But apparently, I'm the only one. So I guess I'll deal with it. It just seems ridiculous to me.
