Politics and economic "actions" aside, the overall economy, world-wide, is very flat and volatile - a very rare mix - and people's discretionary expenditure has become almost "non-discretionary" .... hence the reason - i.m.h.o - for these prices.

Reduce price = sell more -or- minimize potential lost sales

I think DI has been pretty consistent on this - otherwise its either (a) an Academy Award winning performance or (b) the next flagship will be named something totally non-related to the word or meaning of Helix

The $850 Deal for the LT + BackPack is probably the single best modeler deal I've seen in the last 2-3 years. People forget that the LT and Helix are %100 sound and audio guts identical, other than the scribble scripts, hardware design and a few less ports.

This is why I finally pulled the trigger on one after working my way up to it for the past 5 years. I can’t imagine the price getting any better than that ever again.

Yeah Helix LT and backpack for $850 is a great deal. I mean the LT was $1000 when it first came out nearly a decade ago, so inflation alone should have it priced closer to $1250.
