Headphone correction with console

I've seen a lot of adds for headphone correction software.

I also see large consoles in the back and that raises a question. I'm using an x32 and use the internal recorder and part of FX. So my headphones are connected to the x32. As far as I can figure out this will not work with the correction software because i don't want the correction in my recording and connecting the headphones on the desktop means I'm missing the whole FX chain.

So do they just use their consoles as controle interfaces ?
Or do i miss something.

maybe theres a way to configure a second 2 buss with the headphone correction vst you could solo- but to my knowledge you just keep it as the last plugin on the main output bus for can use and turn it off for speakers and or rendering

Also how i understood it. So the consoles are Just props ;)

probably so

ultimately- i think the best bet with cans is hours and hours of familiarization with them to know jow they translate out to other systems, and/or just a really known 'flat' set of headphones like hd600s. ive never wanted to fuss with 'correction' vsts.. so i spent the money on a great canamp and hd650s and dt880s instead.

I have a Sony masterings headphone and the aiaiai. I really like the aiaiai but mostly mix on the adams.

You will need to be able to do software routing to different outputs. E.g correction plugin -> output 3/4 -> headphones. Otherwise you need to remember to toggle it on/off for whatever you use.

For example Cubase's Control Room is perfect for this since you can put different plugins there without those plugins influencing the final mix sound.

I kinda want to pick up the IK ARC ON-EAR for this because then I don't need to mess around with that stuff since it's all on hardware.

i can definitely reroute outs.. but not sure how youd apply a vst to an output post 2 buss. seems like it should be possible- but i dunno how youd do it!

I honestly have no idea how the X32 works but I would assume you could handle all the routing in the DAW and then the X32 becomes more like an output system rather than being used as a mixer.

kinda answering this myself- i think youd need to configure a stereo buss, and send to both the main out, and the buss you can label 'headphone'. make that go to your headphone out only, use the vst, then solo that mix on cans and mute it when youre not. if youre using buss compression or anything on the 2.. youd haveta also copy those into the buss. if its not going to the master buss, it shouldnt mess with rendering or mains.. but god knows if itd work right and how much damage itd do to system resources.

seeing the console is literally my hub for external 19" FX and internal fx i don't think that would work in my case.

I think it's indeed not possible as expected
