I have an online friend who is disabled, and buys all sorts of cheap crap, but he's just a bedroom player, so he has fun tweaking them and uploading hilarious "shred" videos.

He is an absolute monster. And a killer luthier actually. He just likes to buy cheap crap that looks cool to the undiscerning eye and then fix it up.

Yup, completely agree, although I'd prefer not getting political in here, as to stay calm and friendly - we're all here for the gear.

I know that there are (seriously) nice folks out there with a very differing point of view. I might not like their stance, but in here I'm doing my best to filter it out and not care.

To stay on topic, if he's getting a C&D, it's only a matter of time before fake Trump guitars start showing up, and "originals" will attract scalpers.

It's all like a giant South Park episode.

I’m not sure Gibson really has grounds after all they lost the PRS single cut action. US law doesn’t allow copyright of shapes but bizarrely does consider the bell truss rod shape and some headstocks to by trademarks . It is Gibson just throwing their weight around.
