What you’re describing, RE the high‑end reduction compared to loading the full IR directly, may be consistent with what other GT‑1000 users have measured. It isn’t a fault with your unit; it’s simply how the internal IR conversion works.
I completely understand why you’re checking this so thoroughly. If you rely on very detailed IRs (especially bright ones), even a subtle change in the top end becomes noticeable when you sustain chords or A/B against the original file
