Fryette Ultra Lead II

Man, $3,999 is at the top range of what I was expecting. That is going to be a hard pass for me unless I snag an amazing deal on a lightly used one.

Right? Let's hope everyone hates it, like when the SigX was released, and people just dump them for silly prices :rofl Either that, or everyone sells their old ULs to get them and the prices aren't insane.

Barring Laxu has anyone actually had issues with Fryette support? I’ve annoyed them on every device I’ve bought from them (repeatedly) and support and Steve himself have always been awesome and willing to indulge and even shoot the shit. Granted it wasn’t repair related and more how-to and use-case related, but I never got the vibe that these dudes would be difficult to work with. Laxu’s experience seems to be spinning into a tall tale, unless everyone else is having a bad experience with them I haven’t to this point. :idk
I've had nothing but good experiences with their support.

Well this for me a gotta have. But let’s see EU prices.

As for my experience with their service. When I needed stuff fixed it got done in a timely manner.

And I had let’s see, 2/50/2, 2/90/2, Sig X, Deliverance, Memphis and GPDI

All of those needed a repair?!?
Noooo. Only two and it was a quick do it myself.
By the same token I had a half dozen blown output transformers, more blown screen resistors than I can remember. Especially in Mesas. Let’s see
T-verb, Mark V, 2 Lone Stars, MkV25.
Only the mkV25 hasn’t seen a shop, the 2 lone stars and big V were all at least 3 times in the shop. In a two year period.

Stuff breaks, usually when most unimportune

Huh. So your statement is actually "As for my experience with their service, I have none."

No I'm sure they told him what to do so he had to work with them at least on that level. Seems he's had way more trouble out of Mesa's though... which I did as well. It's a big reason I don't buy anything from that company anymore.

My statement is indeed I had no issues with them and hence have gotten a Gpdi ir when it came out. And will get the UL unless it doesn’t sound like an UL.

Sorry if I was unclear.

They didn’t need to tell me much since I was VP at THD Electronics then and soldering a part in was no biggie.

Reality check Dwliverance is a 3200 amp and is just a basic head. The SLO100r is a 4500 amp and is just racked repackaged SLO. This thing looks amazing for the price, a reimagining of the original with some modern features… Considering it if I do get another amp

I would like more info about this part of the product description:
„Finally, we developed an all-new switching and signal processing platform that offers a stunning array of sonic possibilities in a slick, intuitive sound modification system that can be managed via the onboard LCD display or operated remotely via a custom graphical user interface.“

Is this just digital control for the analog circuitry or is there a section with DSP stuff for speaker sim, maybe even FX and stuff? And what is the remote graphical interface, an app for the phone?

Exciting it is!

Good lord this amp looks killer!

Yeah, hearing Steve explain the why's of everything makes this much more appealing. At the end of the day it's give and take. I guess as long as the SOUND being equal as the final result is what's most important.

This new unit has way more options and is kind of modern. Of course you have to consider the potential cons - digital failures and not looking cool lol.

I think it looks cool :bag :rofl
