I think Friedmans are good sounding amps, and I’m sure Dave is a swell guy. He’s just a bit of a hypocrite, when he’s slinging shit at Mesa Boogie for copying certain things, when he’s not exactly original either.Regardless of the past I think it is cool Dave is doing this. Beneath all of the Pink Tacos
there's a bona fide good dude in there.
More "inspired by". A Marshall with a Jose mod keeps the Marshall rawness intact, the BE100 is way smoother sounding.i thought the brown eye was more or less a jose modded amp?

I'm sure he'll make a proper one, he proved he could do it with the plex. :)That would make me sad if the Friedman Arredondo was just an existing platform
with the Jose Mods added on like icing to a cake.
On his Tonetalk podcast.Oh man. Really? I haven't seen or heard Dave's Mesa rants.
While that's totally true, that doesn't keep him and Mike from taking digs at it.in the same way that no one bought a Dual Rectifier thinking it’s an SLO.
I think Mike's beef is that the SLO was an amp in production and he felt he was undercut by Mesa. Although I disagree with him, because at the end of the day Rectifiers and SLOs sound and work completely different. While that's totally true, that doesn't keep him and Mike from taking digs at it.
Oh for sure. Dave probably gets his fair share of flack too. and I’m sure some of the Mesa talk is down to the hours of frustration trying to repair them, which is surely more of a source of frustration. Soldano was never equipped to mass produce gear to the scale Mesa did, and I’m sure Mike and Dave have probably been consistently busy enough to work however they like to not really need to worry. While that's totally true, that doesn't keep him and Mike from taking digs at it.
Too late!!! We're relitigating it!!!Man, even I don't want to relitigate all of this stuff that has been beaten to death
on Forums over the years.
Given the fact that these will be based on Jose Arredondo’s designs, and keeping with Dave’s naming conventions, I’m thinking an appropriate product name would be “Dirty Sanchez.”
Whoa! I have YT Premium so I didn't see a single one. Well spent $.
