I have committed! I have a low profile TRS cable arriving tomorrow to fix that one flyer. But the rest is all done and wired up, tested working.

I used this cheap knock-off solderless wiring kit from Amazon for the M5 <> FM3 wire up. It's pretty stiff wire, but it's small so it routes nicely under the FM3. Wouldn't necessarily recommend it if you're going to be moving the wires around a bunch, but for a static setup like this where the wires won't move it works just great. Power strip has USB ports on it as well for charging stuff.

I was hoping the M5 transmitted MIDI clock but alas it does not. Would have been cool to have it be the tempo controller as it's got a tap switch right there. It doesn't even respond to MIDI clock -- it needs custom CC messages on the 1/4 notes to sync. Lame. Oh well.

You do realize, of course, that you are only a few inches in width away from an FM9… I only pointed this out because every time I try to put together a “compact” rig with my FM3, it winds up growing larger than my FM9 and still with less capabilities.

@iaresee what are you using the M5 for? Sorry if I missed it prior.
I haven't mentioned this!

The answer is: not much. I bought it because Trey is using it for some effects so I've been using it mainly for those: Growler, Frequency Shifter, Reverse Delay.

I had it in a drawer and there was space on this and well...more is more, right?

It might stay. It might go. Was thinking a fun weird pedal might be cool in this spot? I'll use it as the guest pedal spot.

Building a smaller board around my FM3 today because I feel like working with constraints and the smaller footprint would be good for me. Focus on playing, less on all the effects I can jam into a preset. Plus, who doesn't love less to carry?

Apparently me since my live rig keeps getting bigger and bigger. At best I cut 4" off my pedalboard real estate, but then I added a 4x12 instead of a 2x12. :rofl

This is why I said I had to keep it to a size that fits in this Gator bag I have here. Otherwise, I'll expand to fill all the available floor space on stage, apparently. :rofl
