Just curious, does anyone know what rare pedal the old JFET Sustainer compressor type was based on?


I'm guessing the JFET Pedal type that replaced it is based on the same or similar pedals too.

Good choice. I think the FM3 / VP4 combo is good too, but the all in one approach is superior IMO.

Thinking about going against the grain here with all this stadium preorder talk and ordering an FM3…or FM9

FM3 turbo guys I have a question… could I run a signal chain like this on the FM3T:

Drive, harmonic tremolo, new spring reverb, super reverb amp, tape delay, cab, room reverb (or whatever the cab ambience is called)?

Is that possible? Would i have room for anything else, or is that pushing it?

. . .can you feasibly run a chain on the FM3 that's something like this?: [drive block > the new spring reverb > harmonic tremolo > amp > cab with room ambience turned up > stereo digital delay with mod > enhancer block]. I know this depends a lot on many factors (amp choice being a big one, I assume), and that the improved reverbs use a lot more CPU, but I'm just curious what to expect.

With the Stadium announcement, my plans to go from the HX Stomp to the FM3 have become a little less sure lol, but I'm still leaning FM3 since I really don't need most of what the Stadium offers (and the FM3's size is already pushing it for me haha). I want to make sure I'll be able to 1:1 swap the HX Stomp for the FM3 without running into the latter's resource limitations though, and I'm more or less just using the HX Stomp with a chain like above.

This is via a non-turbo OG FM3 (turbo gives 10% -11% additional CPU)...

I started with the FM3, but was quickly seduced by the power and hourly updates of the Axe 3. Then I joined a band, which allowed me to justify an FM9T. So I have the whole set.
