Fractal Talk

Thank you very much! I always try to let the guitar talk as much as I can!

That is very obvious from your playing :)

To me .... this is such a simple and obvious thing that most "new" / "modern" guitar plays just cant comprehended.

B.t.w ... I did want to also mention that they way you set up the Quad Delay to duck around and under your notes was perfect !

I am in love with MTD and PLX delays. Both are such awesome effects that can do this delay/reverb thing very well!

Has the VA4 been announced yet?

Challenges always makes me nervous when having to do something in a timely fashion lol. Inspiration has to come to me and I never know when it'll hit. I can't force it lol.
So if during the 8 weeks of the challenge, if you are inspired, be sure to enter it! No deadline pressures, just patiently waiting for your inputs ;~))

Preaching to the choir with that one. If you look at the previous challenges I drop off after week 3 quite consistently and barely stay on after that week, but I always make an attempt to do so. I don't generally use that time for writing songs I want to fully develop, but it's been great for keeping me active/fingers in shape while keeping my head in the creative space more than it would be left to my own devices.

@Brockstar
Really enjoyed your piece. Phrasing and tasteful effects were just beautiful. Would you be comfortable to share that patch here or elsewhere? Either way, thanks for sharing. BTW when I watch your hands I think of cellists playing thumb position eg Bach Suite no.6. Some good examples on youtube. Maisky vid is good example.

Thank you :D and sorry it was a quick build and throw away preset. Just loaded amp/cab block, tweaked a little and tossed in a MTD and tweaked a little and went with what I thought was nice! That is one thing I super love about fractal, you can be up playing with something super great right after loading a block or few or a quick few EQ tweaks etc.

You talk that much?? :p

Just kidding... excellent playing for real!

Lol, thanks :)

Just curious, does anyone know what rare pedal the old JFET Sustainer compressor type was based on?
JFET Sustainer type. This is based on a rare JFET-based pedal compressor where the JFET is in the op-amp’s feedback network. The range of the Release Time has been increased to 2ms to 2s.

I'm guessing the JFET Pedal type that replaced it is based on the same or similar pedals too.
  • New JFET Pedal Algorithm:
    • Based on pedals with a JFET as the shunt resistor in a non-inverting op-amp configuration.
    • Replaces the JFET Sustainer type.
