Oh no, I use Reaper. Insufferable cunts use Ableton.

Considering you can make any track in Logic stereo or mono with, literally, one click on the channel strip without opening any menus, I'd suggest there's some serious user error going on somewhere along the way. Might not want to let that person open a door on their own, could be dangerous.

If this individual knows their shapes yet, you could just tell them "Push the circle next to the Input"

Every DAW (besides PT after 23) tries to “step” gradual tempo changes so there’s 500 little tempo changes across a couple of measures and it never lines up with the audio. They’ve all got their quirks, I’m really not a fan of having to select a special tool for basic operations and shit.
That's specific to importing I think. Cubase and Studio One definitely have at the very least linear lines for tempo now, where you can do a ramp. I'm pretty sure Studio One has beizer curves now, but could be wrong.

Either way, yeah, all DAW's have their quirks for sure.

PS: I love DAW wars.

PPS: I had to learn how to use them ALL when I first joined fxpansion, as part of my tech support work. Easily the one that should've been an abortion, is Digital Peformer. OH. MY. GOD. DICKHEADERY IN A BOX.

When I ditched PC's I wanted to try something aside from Pro Tools, I was making demos in Garageband already, but when I downloaded Reaper I just looked at it like "WTF? Why is this so busy?" I'm not even sure I had it open long enough to figure out how to record a track. I closed it and bought Logic after seeing I was already using the Lite version of it with Garageband.

I love it, it stays out of my way and everything I've ever needed to do has been generally figured out without needing a tutorial and there's ample tutorials for anything I couldn't figure out. TBF, I basically use it like a tape machine/mixer with digital editing in that what I record is 75% performance and 25% VST's I'm editing in a piano roll....where I'll bounce the tracks to audio and treat them as such. Like my AxeFX, I underutilize a LOT of features.

Hated DP. Felt like you had to give the computer a secret handshake before any task, lol.
